knight_in_shining_karma. it's nothing he did, but the figure he cut. the karma part is just that damn sensibility added to a sense of time and, perhaps, place. split the wrong hair and classically, explosion. that's not my (oh, no possessiveness, tigers and bears!) knight.

Two years ago: idly picking a book about cycling at the library. Laughing because its writer was British and wrote "lorry" for truck, even though the context was serious: Don't bike close to the side of a lorry, she wrote, because it has a large blind spot and cyclists have been hit by trucks turning.
Well, my aunt got hit by a truck. She was in front of it, not beside it. It didn't even have the right of way, apparently.
I think karma got the wrong person. Although it did pay me back for the whole almost-breaking-someone's-nose incident by giving me some terrifying wake-up-at-night panic attacks.
(The hyphen bank called. It says no more loans until I've paid interest. Those son-of-a-bitch bankers. I... I. Hello? Hello. Oh, dear. Only one more left. Maybe I should use it to illustrate a political point, like man-hating feminists vs. man hating feminists? The latter seems to be a more common occurrence, though neither thankfully seems to be the majority in my neck of the woods.)
I'm not always serious when I talk about politics, but politics itself isn't always serious, is it? As if can be easily defined. But the thing with the truck scared me. She could have been killed.
