So i'm, watching all of this shit on the news over the last week or so and so i'm thinking "Hey wait a minute, where's the rancorous outcry for us to deport him back to where he came from? Where's AG Ashcroft and good ol' Tom Ridge announcing that from now on, the authorities should start profiling clean-cut cornfed college boys and recommending to the universities that they not be allowed to take certain courses that the NSA has declared potentially sensitive? Where are the vandals and hate-fueled lunatics disturbing the neighborhoods where "that type" comes from?"
oh yeah, that's 'cause he looks just like the rest of us and if he doesn't look any different then he can slip by without scrutiny, after all it's the different ones who are bad, right?

I live really close to where he grew up... and a girl in my class is his cousin. I feel really terribly for her. How much would that suck, to have to deal with that stuff? It's just so sad.

I don't watch the news. Yesterday, in Advanced Algebra II, Mrs. Hamilton told her her daily anecdote, about the mailbox bomber being apprehended. She thought it was silly that he had planned his targets in the shape of a smiley face. He had the two eyes and a dot for the mouth, but didn't get the complete smile. We laughed. Matt sits behind me and said in all sincerity that he thought he should be allowed to finish it, because the smiley face couldn't be half completed. We all wondered if he was joking or not.
