REVISION Passing Passed the past away Passing on into the light That passed the cold into A warm inviting sacred rite of day Passing through my fears Faced the past and now they're gone Faced afraid and got beyond To the magic of the dawn that shivers Trembles with anticipation Blending into fascination Childhood promises, beginnings Childlike wonderment begins To shape my face To mold my features Metamorphasize my future times A greater fate begins to climb And when I leave it all behind To set my sights on the believer in me Fantasy weaver in me The possibilities bedazzle and amaze The world's a stage and I'm a star Within the limelight of my heart Within the confines of a blue and open sky Isn't this incredible? Isn't this a Mardi Gras? Isn't this the show to beat all shows To please the Wizard of Oz? Don't it make you think? Tell me now Don't it make you wonder If lightning's twice as beautiful When we stop hiding from the thunder? There are so many ways to go And oh so many paths to choose Give me the open road I'll take hope's sweet embrace too Make that my way So any day I say's a revelation So every waking breath is taken In grate-ful infatuation With all things of all kind Without and within my mind Life's so much better I find In the future of the past I left behind.
