pan_american_highway
once again BEGINNING: Deadhorse, Alaska
ENDING: Puerto Montt, Chile

Mission: Drive 16,000 miles, cross through 15 countries, have the time of your life, live to tell about it.

Obstacles: Border crossings, The Darien_Gap, car trouble, gas money, language barriers, bandits, guerillas, sundry others.

I don't know why they built it. It's more of an idea than a construct, even though its existence is undeniable. It's a concept really though. A road that takes you north to south, a highway to the whole continent, not pointed out on the map, but there. Just at the edge of your vision, begging for a better look.

It'd be hard. It'd take planning and time and money and thought. But wouldn't it be worht it?
