a house with a very tall ceiling so you look up and your neck hurts. geraniums growing on the windowsills and doves on the roof. light creaky wooden floors, sun pouring in everywhere. dust in the light that makes it shimmer. a small library to cuddle up in with wall-to-wall books and armchairs and a woolen rug. a warm kitchen with a red windowseat. you leave me asleep in the morning, kiss me on the forehead, touch my hand, and I greet you at night, running up to you, jumping, throwing my legs around you, kissing you soundly and laughing, bringing you a soft white towel when you are bedraggled with rain. i will cook you parmesan linguine with peas from the pod. "will you live with me?"
