Even though the place seems more than a little bit ghetto on the surface, you also notice that there seems to be an air of safety as well, the only gate you can see that appears to be locked in the immediate vicinity is the junkyard/house gate next to the bird's place.
You cross the street and walk in birdmad's gate, as you enter an older gentleman is working in the back yard of the other house next door, you have to turn your eyes away from the bright light when you realize that he is welding some decorative ironwork
you walk to the back of the driveway and see the apartment door on the small building behind the larger front house.
the you can see the window, and now the door, there is a note tucked into the doorjamb.
you pull the note and read it
"yeah, i guess i should have warned you, i'm at work right now, it's not too far if you want to walk it, but i don't recommend it in this heat, meanwhile you might want to head downtown maybe catch a movie at the Arizona Center or do some people watching in that area, go back to the street across from the corner store wait for the Number 10 bus, take it as far as Central Station and stroll east a couple of blocks from the south end of the station, you'll recognize the place when you get there. Make sure you catch the Number 10 eastbound bus and not the 13E or you will end up back at the airport

if you're really in the mood for some industrial strength boredom, you can come on down to the building where I work. if you choose to go that route, again take the 10 bus downtown, walk to the Arizona Center and catch one of the small copper coloured shuttle buses westward to the Capitol complex, get off at 15th avenue in front of the Mining and Mineral building and cross east on 15th avenue and cross south on Washington street,entering the small brown nondescript brown building. I'm on the first floor so there's a good chance you'll see me coming in or out of the suite where my office is. if not, ask the capitol cop in his booth if he knows where to find the big guy with the red,blonde and black hair, just be careful, once in here you are in an environment that could put accountants to sleep, so you might want to explore the city for a bit and catch me back home at about 6:30
