flowerock. Cute

I would have a nommonogamous foodship with chives (onion stalks?) right now...
I forgot that I chopped it up into my salad and rice and couldn't figure out what the amazing divine flavor was popping up every few bites...

I keep trying to adopt a vegan diet... but I'm one of those people who never ate cheese then discovered goat and sheep milk cheeses that don't hurt my tummy, there is no going back... I'm sorry planet... everyone... it's all my fault.

unhinged not all cheese and dairy is bad for us, the animals and the planet. with a little bit of research, you don't have to feel guilty about cheese. food guilt is insidious and unhealthy. celebrating every time you live up to your ideals instead of shaming every time that you don't might help the success rate. 160905

flowerock. I appreciate that reminder. Thank you.
I agree, but I also fall into guilt sometimes, you're right, it is unhelpful to feel that way.

unhinged guilt is an easy trap to fall into especially for those of us raised catholic. the concept of basic_goodness, especially when applied to mistakes, is a helpful antidote. 160906

unhinged vegan recipe you can feel good about:

adapt recipe for teff breakfast porridge on bob's red mill package of teff by replacing butter with coconut oil. leave out dates.

before serving add some melted dark chocolate, red raspberries, coconut milk to desired consistency

teff is similar to quinoa in nutritional profile (a plant source of complete amino acid profiles) but actually has more protein than quinoa. i grew up eating coco wheats hot breakfast cereal but this is a less processed gluten free version. it is becoming my go to breakfast aside from banana hemp protein smoothies. i'm kicking the instant oatmeal to the curb.
