I completely disagree with this statement.
The problem is people are looking for the wrong thing or person when they want to feel complete.
My child completes me. Gives me my purpose in life and makes me whole.

no one can complete you, or me, or even themselves, but they can make a moment complete, they can make moment after moment perfect and complete, whole and wonderful, I can be complete without them, but I love what they bring to my reality so I hope that they stay beside me. I missed you today, I missed you before too, but today it was a little pain, a pang of sadness, "you should be here, I wish you were here now.". I am so excited to see you get back! as a mammal and a primate, all humans are wired to seek physical connection with others because our brains release oxytocin when touched. this alone refutes the idea that we can complete ourselves without others. humans are not built to be alone. in the modern age, we have isolated each_other to an alarming degree never seen before in human history. we currently have astronomical rates of diseases of despair including suicide and drug addiction and overdose. these two things are not mutually exclusive. as humans, we need each_other. this pernicious and somewhat western myth that we can do it alone is a lie that americans have been conditioned to believe more strongly than any other culture.

admitting that is not a disease or weakness
it is just the acknowledgement of
science and ultimate_reality
