i'm not suggesting that when it comes down to it all people are are products of the music they listen to, and that can be reduced to one band. i realize that a variety of bands make up a lot of people, in some cases NO band makes up someone. but... if someone asked you "name one band that defines yourself" what would you say?
i am a mix of alkaline_trio but i don't drink of anything so i can't exactly use it to completely define me...
saves the day is also a rather good example
i think the cure is a good example of me.

I think Low could define my head, in a very abstract sense... they even have the same kind of nearly unperceivable, incognito humour (;-)).
But then again, I associate to a million other bands.
Lately: Stina Nordenstam's soft, naïve voice. Ooh, I feel so girly now.

could i? only one band that can encompass every feeling i've ever had, every feeling to come? could i define, which is to say limit myself by the definition, one group of people with instruments and orgiastic electronica so dynamic they speak for me, their music tells you how i brush hair away from my lips, or mirrors the sound of my weeping, or laughter sometimes. how can anyone just put these borders up, this is me, this is who i am, everything is said in this one song? and then sometimes it is, and that feeling of being totally understood is perhaps what we live for.

As far as the name-wise,i think the
(canadian band)"Glass Tiger" fits nicely. Mostly because I'm very fiercely protective of people i care deeply about,but at the same time i think that in matters of the heart i'm a fairly emotionally fragile person(fallen for the wrong guy WAY too many times,blah blah blah). And here's a neat fact--with a couple of vowels,my first/middle/last initials actually spell out the word "clear". =)
As for the type of music the bands play,i think there's too much of it that would fit me.
