unhinged blather becomes way too real when you start to here the voices

it's like i talk about my friends and the prefix 'internet' doesn't even really come to mind. especially when i hear the voices.

i've been reading this cool book that i was actually supposed to have read for a class a year ago that i never got around to until recently cause i was all about the minimal amount of work possible back then; still am to some degree.

music: a very short introduction by nicholas cook

good book. kind of esoterical and philosophical and whatnot but it's good for everyone; people who have knowledge and people who don't. you would probably greatly enjoy this pheb. it's only 123 pages.

you can order it and other very short introductions at:

www.oup.co.uk/vsi

they are cool little things.

printed music as a construct of the abstract. symbols that don't mean much. but the language creates the reality...right?

i guess that's why music is still around. cause it's so much easier to listen to the second movement of beethoven's seventh than try to tell someone about it. we all get it when we hear it.
