well i was just kind of being silly, but i just meant that i'm kind of picky when it comes to stuff i like and why i like it, but i'm not picky when it comes to what other people.
typical indie elitists, such as the characters working in the store in the beloved high_fidelity, tend to scoff when someone likes something that they "shouldn't" for whatever reason. people at an indie record store near me give people a hard time if they ask for concert tickets that they don't sell, as if people should just know everything about everything indie to be respected in any way, and i think that's annoying and elitist and silly.
maybe i'm not even talking about snobbery, but pickiness. blather blather, who knows?
