for the second night in a row, i've tried to do a search about what might be wrong with my hand and have come up with porn stories instead, which is distracting. twice i've started to call the kaiser advice center and then decided it was too late at night to call, especially when i've been dealing with this for days. my elbow is sore from holding up a book for so long. my eyes burn because they want to be closed. my body feels so tired. but my heart is keeping me up. i can't get it to beat more slowly. sometimes i stop and realize how awful i feel but i can't get out more than a tear or two. i really don't know that to do with myself at this point. left finger to left wrist to left elbow achy pain. achy choking on tears throat. raspy from wine drinking throat. i feel so goddamn alone. now that i am most open and vulnerable about my feelings and all that has happened to me, there is no one to hold me or love me. losing weight, stressing about money, worrying about school etc ect etctefgdtste

have you gone to the campus infirmery yet? have you considered that it may be birsitis? Is there a history of arthritis in your patriarchal or matriarchal lineage? Um..there are several companies that sell ah book holders..I think they advertise in literary magazines such as Harpers or The Atlantic Monthly, possibly even The New Republic and other psuedo-intellectual rags. I rmember seeing an add in Harpers several years back..before I let my subscription lapse. Is there a way you could lie in bed and construct a make shift harness or bridge to prop the book up on? Only asking because I unfortunately suffer from arthritis and have done so since the age of 14 and sometimes I have to figure out ways to butress the big ol' egghead excrement books i read but never finish. Is there a way you can get ahold of an anti-inflamatory ameliorative? later, hope your arm feels better soon ...

also, have you struck anything with that hand? thrown a punch or made any sudden sharp movement with that arm that may have impacted any of the nerves? any combination of that sort of movement countered by any other physical stresses to the area (the book, for instance) could play a part too but if you are worried enough, please, do call the advice line

how's your hand feeling these days? have you considered slacking up on the sugar? have you investigated an ergonomically alternative means of reading in bed..sort of jeery-rig something to alleviate stress impacts to the associated joints and ligature? ...
