Yesterday at work, I met the most interesting man. He was wandering around the jewelry counter, looking at watches. I asked him if he needed help, and he replied "No thankyou, miss". So, I left him alone. Later, I come back from being mauled by customers in the Sporting Goods department, and here is Norma and this guy talking about his career. He had a sort of Perugian accent...and smelt of fried onions. Being a missionary water purifier, he spoke of his days in the jungle and the nights, too. He was shopping for some girls and boys that he knew from some villages, and asked me what size undergarments I wore, my shoe size, ect...because the girls he knew looked to be the same size. I was fascinated. I couldnt stop listening to him talk about his job, what he does, how it is down there... He has one more month up here, then he flies back down there with all his Christmas presents for the children. I had to get back to work, and he had the Harry Potter movie to see, so we said goodbyes and he promised he would be back. But oh, the stories and the tidbits of information. I couldnt help myself. He told me about the whistling pythons and the boat travel. Ohhhh....for a moment I wanted to be a missionary project worker...
