oh yes, Medea came from the Black Sea area. not that it truly matters anymore, of course. oh yes, Trabzon, a place you'd want to visit. the Silk Road and Suleyman the Magnificent. medea killed her own children to eek revenge on her cheating husband jason, of course. the earth kills her children, sometimes, yes? and it always boggles the mind, somehow. afterall, jason seemed to take his entitlements for granted. also of note the Medes (named after Medea) were an ancient Iranian people who lived in present day northwestern Iran. their last king was Astyages, whose name means "swinging the spear, lance-hurler." he was dethroned by Cyrus the Great, the founder of the Persian Empire under the Achaemenid dynasty.
