with the french stork drawing the pictures and writing the words (thus, the spelling errors) helin created the book which the spider would later deliver to the old woman and copello would eventually see. she would leave one page blank for her father to draw in and if you remember, he drew the planes rashing into the world trade center because life is short, too short to dwell on our selves.

and now we are back to the present.

copello is sober.

helin succumbed to her weakened state and passed out. the final straw was the french word for "resistance" that had to be burned on her belly because to resist temptation one find themselves in a perpetual battle, unable to forget.

our thoughts may fade to nothing but our actions leave scars.

copello met the old man returning from chez panisse. his buddy, alice waters fixed him up with some foie gras and fresh morels. he was hoping to enliven helin but when they opened the door and found the stork and spider with heads bowed and the praying mantis with arms folded and solemnly reciting spanish vespers, all of them surrounding helin...
