libraries should be open 24 hours, imho.. there's never a time when I don't want to sit and read. shame the world revolves around only 8 of the 24 hours; 9-5.

u24, it is very mysterious that you blathed that in 2003 (before i came to blather) because about that time i had the same idea, a sophisticated society ought have libraries open 24/7, that's what i think anyway

i, for one, wouldn't mind the library being open for 24 hours a day. that said i'd not want to have to work there for it, or even be there for it. so basically, fine by me, but only if you can find willing staff.
