perhaps i haven't sufficient blather-tenure to be sure, but...
blather doesn't seem to be the kind of thing that attracts stupid people. those who blathe are probably of an intellectual caliber somewhat above the average, and when i say that i include myself.*
naturally, there are many, many different kinds of intelligence, as though we don't all know that. but it seems necessary to reiterate, as i think people forget this or don't realize it...
the point is, in the arguments that transpire here on blather, one clump of mud that really ought not be slung is the allegation of idiocy. we are all idiots, we are all geniuses. it is merely indecorous to acknowledge the latter, so i am doing it for you. "genius" has many meanings...
just a friendly reminder that sometimes the most heated arguments occur between two very intelligent people who happen to know very different things.**
*someone once quipped that while it is perfectly acceptable to declare that one has a good heart despite a naughtiness, it is considered taboo and/or folly to declare that one is intelligent despite a stupidity.

and often times we have our emotional_menstrual_cycles at different times causing some of us to be argumentative and pissy about the slightest things and/or taking things out of context which also often times diminishes the intellect of our arguements and reduces them to shit_raking . i tend to lose any fact support when arguing during my emotional_menstrual_cycle.
and then throw in there arguments
about politics, religion, or anything that a person is empassioned about and the intellect of the arguement also
tends to exponentially decrease unless you are a professional_arguer (ha, i love making up words)
that and sometimes it's just fun to shit_rake
