in my local community there was an outpouring of sympathy and mourning for a kid who was drunk and took a 90 mph turn into a tree near a 7-11 and died. believe it or not...his parents took out an obit in the chronicle that said..."we love you! we know you're up in heaven drinking a six pack" wow. all i could think was...that poor tree. he was only 90 years old. what wasted potential. so young. he was going to be the first tree that made something more of his life than toothpicks and chopsticks. maybe i'm taking this conservation thing too far. |
