i dreamt that my father, at my mother's goading, shot me 6 times in the torso - two shots (one on each side) above my breasts, on my stomach, and on my abdomen. i was pregnant but hadn't told anyone - was just getting ready to start showing. i walked around the house and even though there was already blood on my brother's floor, i put fresh splotches. he'd finally moved out. then a friend came over and we went to a mutual friends house. these were all people from ncsu, but none of my friends here. it started to become apparent that i wasn't going to die, and i was bitter.
