I saw Amma once on a Friday night. She does a dance and I was like WHAT are you doing?!? and then I got the that's-good-enoughs or maybe was too scared to get a hug from her. or I felt the hug-payoff couldn't possibly be better than the nerves i would have to endure waiting by myself in the long line. so i left with no hug, which is probably unfortunate for me. but then later, I saw her in Illinois and apparently she wasn't giving hugs that time, even though the crowd was much smaller. I was able to get a touch on the forehead and that i would say was nice, beneficial, auspicious, light, and healing. i wouldn't exactly call her a kitten, though.

amma's hugs leave me super blissed out. while meditating at her ashram, someone handed me a tiny crumb of prasad- eating it was like POW blast of light/love to my third_eye and heart. the divine mother energy is embodied in her- this I believe/feel (just as the mother can be found in many places, in many people, in you and in me.) I've never seen her dance, but hearing her voice and hearing her sing/pray is intensely beautiful- so much power, rawness, truthful expression in her voice.
