in a silent way i wouldn't call the death of someone a person considers a hero, whose work spoke to them, got them through tough times, and maybe even saved their life a "non-issue". it can feel like losing a life-long friend.

it doesn't devalue the lives and deaths of non-celebrities. the people who are more visible make bigger waves when they leave. that's just the way it is.

death isn't a competition.
