in dreams, driving is very challenging. for example, in my dream, i drove very recklessly from a far-off mall to my home, became a wanted criminal, regressed to spelling exercises, and got in trouble with the Chinese embassy, where we were held at a meaning full of very sarcastic spies and diplomats. my family escaped by pretending to be Oakland A's fans and donning ice skates. then we simply waited together outside the embassy. i suppose we were getting ready to go skating. which is legal. but it all gets back to the lack of care while driving, which when it was happening, felt like a lion was chasing me. and that, i suppose, was my excuse in the matter.

you get a car in your dreams? I think I've been a pedestrian. Actually I'm not sure if I can even walk. This bothers me vaguely.

mostly, i'm inside somewhere, or walking, rarely running. and sometimes it's a train. fairly common with the train. driving is the least common, which i suppose is why the dream stood out so much yesterday morning...

the rarest dreams where i get to fly are so wistfully ephemeral, while the ones where i'm lost in a gray city, trapped in a maze of cars seem to never end.
