i like the way you put things here, and i relate to a lot of your words. also, sometimes i worry about appearing a certain way on blather when it's not necessarily the way i am, and i remember you mentioned the same thing, so i'm glad it's not just me. i assume it's probably everyone, and also assume everyone here assumes blather_is_blather. so much assuming.
also, hope we get to meet up in chi-town this summer.

Yea miss mine too. Accidently left them in the locker of the Albuquerque homeless shelter (the Left shoe had somehow managed to become unconnected near the sole of my big toe, no one but me noticed for a long time and personally I didn’t care, but once D found out she bought me some “new” shoes and insisted I wear those instead, thus the locker =/) when my Godfather came to pick us up bc… Those shoes saw so much, too many things really… As shallow as it is they were one of the very few things that kind of broke through my numbness and sort of made me somewhat happy back then. “My life may be shit but at least I have the shoes I wanted” then I’d inwardly laugh at myself cynically for being so shallow and girly for caring about something so materialistic. I’d wanted those shoes for what seemed like eons and the last tree time we’d gone shoe shopping I’d been denied bc they weren’t “girly” but gram FINELY relented and I got the shoes I’d wanted for so long. So much negative going on in my life at that time, too much ugly back story to go with this, but those shoes were one of the very few positives back then. Seeing that you owned the same kind, couldn’t help but smile at that, I know it was completely unintentional, but I needed that right now so thanks Bobby, although it sux you can’t find a pair in your size =/
