arwyn life is pretty good. I'm married to my beautiful Sara. Our son is 15 and a typical teenager. I'm a writer now. Not an author... they're published, but I have one novel I'm working hard on, another that's partially finished, and another 2 I have basic outlines for. I'm also working on a book of poetry, but that's been in progress for over a decade.

I'm shocked writing has become my life so thoroughly, but it's relaxing to get these stories out of my head.

how is your life going, silentbob?

unhinged i have been toying with my first thought of being a writer again myself. being published, being my own boss, getting paid for that is still a dream of mine.

i can't believe your baby is a teenager. i am so glad you and your wife are happy.

is glad you are back here

arwyn iowa. i HATE it here. I want to go somewhere, anywhere, else. I dream of a moderate climate, mountains, oceans, anything but the flat boring landscape before me. I want to hike in a forest, not these thickets and woods. *sigh* I feel utterly trapped here - thankfully my wifey does too. Unfortunately, we promised the boy we would stay here until he graduated. Now he never wants to leave. how did I create someone so unadventurous? 181002

unhinged ive been reading Jack kerouac's working journals starting in 1947 when he was working on his book 'town and country' and thought of you

you might be comforted to know his journals are full of agonizing doubt; all of us feel that way about our creative capacities i think.

hope the writing is going well

arwyn right now, pretty good. I finished typing up everything I wrote out, so now I'm working on new material. It was hard to get started again because I filled a notebook and was starting a new one. New notebooks intimidate me. I think about what is going to go in and worry about if it is epic enough or good enough or just readable. Eventually I get over myself and jump in. Hopefully this will be the last one I need to fill, but if not it's okay. I don't mind shopping for notebooks.

Coming back here has been helpful. :)
