Dafremen In the garden, there is a flower behind the greenery Found it there one day while looking through the weeds And it touched me so with it's simple beauty That I took a second on my knees Attending there to it's existence There behind the palmy fronds Took a second of my own to pass a moment in it's grace In a one to one embrace with glory Spent a moment there A blessed moment there, turned and happened on Glanced a glance of wistful wanting Past the palmy fronds Past the everpresent embers of the setting sun In a stranger's passing shadow blinked and it was gone Like a gift from heaven makes you shiver. |
