We don't have the most aesthetically pleasing captcha around, admittedly. It's also harder than most; no clear distinction between a zero and an O, no rules for the number-to-letter ratio, and sometimes the pixelation is such that it's nearly impossible to make out the characters - a sequence of dark static and light static can easily turn an 'i' or 'l' into a mystery...no advice for caps versus lowercase either.
That said, the captcha represents an unusual intervention from a blather deity, at the request of u24 in particular, who spoke on behalf of blather community.
So what can you do?

I think it's healthy for the U.S. to hear what the world thinks.
The easiest thing in the world to do would be to reject those voices, rather than try to determine why it is that they think the U.S. sucks.
It's like the guy who goes around forcing his ways on everyone in a room. Then assumes that because they don't like him, they must be fucked in the head.
It's like the messy roommate calling his cohabitants assholes for being fed up with having to clean up after his messes.
The problem is rarely outside of us. It's almost invariably inside of us. That goes for nations too.
