i survived a similar attempt,
it was long ago now,
i am glad i survived it,
the thoughts still hang around,
my quarters, too, are empty,
but who do i want to bring in?
i do not see anyone i want to bring in,
i do not hear anyone i want to bring in,
but then i read words
from rare individuals like you
and i want to invite you here
now
for... i don't know what,
tea,
or pot,
or a heated argument about vanadium,
or whatever,
i don't know what...
but i do know this:
dolphins are generally quite happy
and rhododendrons are reasonably content
so now i spend my afternoons blushing
while i stand barefoot in parks, muttering:
"eeeee eeee eee eeeeeeee"
