you never get a second chance at a first impression. or a second impression for that matter. some of the middle chances...100th 1632th etc. etc. seem negligible but NO they are just as pathetically fleeting, ephemeral and yet remembered in how they configure your next move. Perhaps this is what they mean by no second chance at a first impression. But that means we've been playing catchup since we first opened our little uncolored eyes as babies and blinked. I guess the saving grace is that, we can try out any impression that occurs to us in our minds, or on people who aren't really the issue, in bizarre tests. Like the line from seven samurai. "if we fought with real swords, i would kill you." and the training is something we're built for, something we need others for. but after that, after we learn it's up to us, we're forced to act as if it is, and then for all practical purposes, it really is. And so this rhumination on what my next impression will be like, unfortunately it isn't the illusion some people say it is. it' s a very real struggle. it's here for you. but remember. if we fought with real swords....

well i don't know whether to be offended or flattered...i guess you all just prove my point though...you don't ever get no cecond shance. it's easier if i never speak at all. at least then you don't know what to make of me. cuz once someone's made something of you, it's either happily or unhappily too late. of course, i speak only of the majority of human interactions. just because few have escaped their snares, doesn't mean it isn't possible.
