I'm a future-oriented person, I naturally project my relationships into the future. If I see myself being with a person, beit days or decades, I'll establish short and long-term goals for us. So when a relationship collapses, I feel like I've lost a certain future. In order to recover, I have to envision a new future. Understandably, mulling over the past doesn't help me much. |

not all relationships have to be formed for the future. im starting to prefer forming present moment relationships. (cant celebrate the marraige of a couple on their first date. cant mourn for the death of a healthy child. cant go there if youre not here first.) |
