the Ego, the ID and the Super-Ego surround me… conflicting pursuits & conquests of Pleasure, Reality, and Morality the invade my mind’s eye, bring out my defense mechanisms, create an inner turmoil that is strangely erotic, like pushing on a contusion, why do I allow them to quarrel so, why do I allow this confusion? is it ennui, trepidation, amusement, selfishness, devotion? no, it’s is only the same 3 “personas” which forever will surround me, always there to remind me why being human is such a fanciful thing. |
