my mom had been in an art program at the local community college. she made friends with a visiting professor from China. she and i went to visit him in Beijing. while we were there visiting temples and buying souveniers, Princess Diana got in her terrible car crash. We didn't receive this news until we got on the return flight and saw a Canadian paper filled with pictures of the funeral. of course, "Han Chinese" deserves a much more thorough entry than this. |
