starjewel Crazy riddle
No reason to the rhyme
Play the fiddle
I’ll keep the time

Random burst of song
Watch me dance
I did nothing wrong
But take this chance

Lay back hazy daze
Nothing else to do
Then to decipher this maze

A writer’s quiet thoughts
Between their head and brain gets lost
And in ink we pay the cost.
Meaningless drivel
Continue to scribble
In search of something long gone
Reaching so far that’s it’s near what’s beyond

Diamonds cascading
Pick up a pebble; skip rocks
An orchestra fading
So how much does the CD cost?

Watch the moon chase a star
A great day to fly a kite
It’s so close yet so far
It was there, but not quite

I think I’ll melt in this heat
Ice blew in on the breeze
The asphalt burns my feet
The stars are about to freeze

A writer’s quiet thoughts
Between their head and brain gets lost
And in ink we pay the cost.
Meaningless drivel
Continue to scribble
In search of something long gone
Reaching so far that it’s near what’s beyond

Enjoy the technique of juxtaposition
Create a rhyme scheme ABA
Start a sentence with a preposition
Then decide you’ve got nothing to say

Stare blankly in every possible direction.
Or look a head and see nothing.
Squint your stealthy stare in inspection
Heed the thoughts that are rushing.

Feels like just like being trapped
When you haven’t even got a pen
And you’ve got your mind completely wrapped
Around nothing you’ll ever think about again

A writer’s quiet thoughts
Between their head and brain gets lost
And in ink we pay the cost.
Meaningless drivel
Continue to scribble
In search of something long gone
Reaching so far that it’s near what’s beyond
