growing up in rural pennsylvania, i had some very interesting things happen during my childhood.
one of my most vivid memories is this little gem:
i was watching the jetsons on tv. i was about 4 or 5 years old, i suppose. as the end credits were rolling, i looked out the window and saw the largest hog (big ol' piggie) i have ever seen running around my yard. i did not live on a farm and i had never seen an animal so large, so i flipped out, bawled like a baby, and hid in the hallway where there weren't any windows. i was afraid the big hog was going to eat my doggie, who was outside barking like crazy. finally, the owner came and got the hog, but i am forever scarred by the sight of that ugly, nasty animal.
to this day, i still can't watch the jetson's without thinking about that stupid sack o' swine.
