strange how the spectre of a man, stripped naked to downturned eyes, the resignation, dignity and suffering that travel in blood dried on his face, is more assertive, imposes more than all the shouting prophets before him ever did.

It is usually easier to find fault than it is to forgive. It's so much easier to condemn the failings of others than it is to forget those failings and focus on those traits they bring with them that uplift us all. If you water a plant, give it attention, it will grow. If that plant is the seedling of our failures, then who couldn't see what sort of tree it will become? Twisted and gnarled, thorny and uninviting. Who is to blame? The seed? Or those that watered and nourished it by pointing it out and speaking its name? And if we took a chance, and watered the pleasant traits of those around us? Then what? What outcome should we expect then come the harvest of humanity and our twilight years?
