It's an almostof_fate universal misconception that we have to prove something true before we can embrace it as truth. It's a reliable method, for sure, and in some cases, it's the only rational way to seek truth. For instance when determining whether or not cyanide kills upon ingestion, I'm going to trust the scientists..particularly since I have nothing to gain from eating cyanide. But some truths CANNOT reliably be proven this way. Some truths cannot be determined in a laboratory or voted on by the nodding heads of experts. And often, the attempt to sort through the quirks of human behavior in order to find the truth of our psychopathy, tends to distort truth instead, as folks run like hell from behaviors that might reveal their inner foibles and flaws to the world. It's interesting to note that it also opens up large swaths of people to mass conditioning, as they are coralled into behaviors that psychologists and scientists deem rational. We'd have to follow the money trail after that to learn any more. So much for truth. Some truths can ONLY be ascertained by first embracing them as truth, and exploring them from that side. Skepticism has its place and procedure. But mostly skepticism is a call to INACTION, not action. It's a wait and see approach. And again, that's fine for exploring some areas, but not others. It's perfect for exploring materialism and material subjects, including the material mind, but its lousy for exploring other things. Like what it's like to be an pop star. Oh how we glamorize and live in a fantasy world until we've lived the life. Some falsehoods should only be learned through personal experience. Your results may vary from mine. It's as though there were two kids who grew up loving a certain basketball team. They were devoted fans who never missed a game and collected memorabilia. One of them stayed a fan, the other went on to play for the team. As his career advanced, he noticed a lot of unsavory things going on behind the scenes. The stars in his eyes faded a bit as his dream became his job and his job was, like most others, filled with politics, manipulation and greed. His friend, the fan, would read about some of these things in magazines, but to him, they were just haters hating. It wasn't until his friend confirmed it from a place of KNOWING that he finally let some of these unsavory things slip past his fan guard. Unfortunately, he still didn't know the whole truth, because there were some things that his friend the baller was not at liberty to discuss with him (and things that he didn't want to.) Eventually, the two friends grew apart because all that the fan wanted to talk about when they got together was what happened behind the scenes, and all the basketball player wanted to do was talk about something else. So they both started as kids with the truth they'd been spoon fed about the team by the media. One went on to find out. He was the only one who actually knew. So be a scientist, be a musician, be a gardener, watch a bird, write a poem, make a stencil, tag a pole. If that's not your speed, find your own fields, but study them all and dive in fervently..if only just long enough to find out if your truths align. We shouldn't wait for some expert to tell us what's what before we move, either. They can tell us along the way, because in the field of Truth, everyone's a scientist and it's the absurdity of 8 billion beings living their own truths that add up to one rational amalgamous being that is our Truth. "While each species on the Earth was still just a group of free acting parts of the All...quite often these parts would choose to select a leader part and follow its directives, rather than the random course contained naturally within them. Eventually, with the evolution of reason, predominate human philosophy taught that by imposing a specific behavior on other parts of the All, ORDER could be established. (Order is perceived as necessary based upon the mistaken notion that because the current sate of reality was achieved through random interaction, that it must in fact have no order to it..completely oblivious of OR denying the fact that it was these random interactions that had led to their very orderly existence.)
