Somewhere 'round the banyan tree there waits Eros in dream his secret treasure tucked away 'neath boughs which wood nymphs tend The stream beside the path cannot hide it's trickling rush of anticipation nor flow but to my destination: zephyred, sunny hair subtle tangerine parted lips to meet my own whispers to a pulse that quickens to match the timing of my stride The meadow harked then greeted me but soon was left behind by a lover's need a passion seen by wildflowers sown in Spring; all coronation ready decked out in Sunday bloom The songbirds sing but barely through the throb in my ears chest and anxious mind Oh blessed path do lead to there! Be merciful to me! Accursed trail! Thou endless walk how cruel you are indeed! Yet, memorable unforgettable so fondly and vividly is recalled that place where my darling waits somewhere 'round the banyan tree. |
