I tend to NOT be the guy with the good news, unfortunately. It's not because we're not surrounded by and filled with hope, possibility and endless potential. Man, we can make anything happen. No its, because we're being held back by the notion that there is someone out there, just as flawed, needy and confused about what to do as us, who is going to save us instead of themselves and their own. Very few of us is as capable as Americans used to be. Most of us are hoping money beats ability in the end. Richies and politicians sure make it seem that way. All they fight about is money. How to get it. How to spend it. And their obsession with their paper god has trickled down into our homes and our lives. They've damn near destroyed us with their paper chase pipedreams. No one wants to cook or sew. We want enough money to get it done for us. Few want to craft or fabricate their dreams and imaginations except as a hobby or a pass time. Making the money rich men print up like toilet paper..that's how you survive. Not by gathering the skills and mustering the motivation to survive. No, we must get on our knees before the zipper of richie wishes or go rob our own with a trustworthy smile on our faces. Because the ability to survive through skill has been locked down by lawyers, landlords and investors. Welcome to the new American plantation.

"...I see all this potential, and I see it squandered. Goddammit, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables, slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don’t need. We’re the middle children of history, man; no purpose or place. We have no Great War, no Great Depression. Our Great War is a spiritual war. Our Great Depression is our lives. We’ve all been raised by television to believe that one day we’d all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars. But we won’t; and we’re slowly learning that fact. And we’re very, very pissed off."

capitalism = the commodification of any and every thing possible in order to exploit as many people as possible to make the fewest possible as rich as possible marx warned us about wage slavery almost two hundred years ago and yet the brainwashed believe i am the problem for pointing out that marx was right

was going to go try and post something witty on capitalism... ...and the end was cut off, so I couldn't. Rather fitting, in my opinion.

Whole heartedly agree. And I'm part of the system of checks and balances put into place by those who keep the corrupt in power. Although, there are many good souls that has just become habituated and accepting of the life the have been led to believe is for the greatest good, self indulgence. . I'll shut up now.

Okay....let's go with Smurfus and the Fight Club quote. Get it all out into the open, but secretly. And fuck you if you talk about it, even once.
