This mirror is not of the sort which is hung upon a wall or some sort of stand. In my case it has taken the form of a younger sibling. Once again, in a drunken state, he has gotten himself into legal trouble. Never has it been as serious as some of the troubles I have been in, nor the trouble I am still resolving, but when I my mother's reaction.... Ouch. At first it was easy to think "Oh that fucking boy!" However, after a bit of reflection I realized that a big part of the reason I was upset may have had to do with realizing how much pain I have put her through. Granted, I would probably be upset regardless of my past, but one must wonder how much that reflection must add to my pain. |
