pete randy bachman, on his weekly radio show "vinyl tap" on cbc radio one, just quoted natalie merchant saying that before she went to nyc for the first time at age 16 she had never seen people eating in the street while walking before, except at the carnival.. at first i thought that was silly, but then i put my mind back to five years ago, before i moved to a city from a small town. the only time, prior to living here, that i've remember seeing people eating in the streets while walking is at the fair.. and now i do it on a regular basis.

weird.

Ouroboros in thailand this is done everywhere- by foreigners and thais alike. and who wouldn't, because the food stalls are excellent. pad thai, meat skewers, fresh fruit, donuts and hot soymilk, noodle soup- everything you can think of can be made quickly and packed up to go, or to be eaten on the go, in plastic bags and rubber bands. it's 5;35am, and once i leave this internet cafe, imagonago get me some early morning padthai. 070114

Ouroboros yeah- running around, slightly buzzed, after the music stopped and the shops were closing, to look for some food stand that was still open. 110119
