The pendulum swings from left to right with good reason. Stasis is death. Not just death to the individual form...but death to the entirety. In the micro as the macro this is true. Pride is the garden of humility, the karmic wheels of justice ensure that each takes the licks they're owed, tastes the rewards they've earned. You don't have to be a whiz to recognize the reality of your place along the path. You just have to look around, get the lay of the land and learn the rules..so that they makes sense to your material brain, then turn within and find them there as well..use your knowledge as practical metaphor for what you find within. But you can't be foolish forever either..unless of course you're intent on committing karmic suicide. We get stuck on each puzzle and forget to look within for the key. Or just plain don't. The tests are legion. Each improves the connection with the real self; in quality and strength. Do right. Do right. This is your mantra.
Lies are holes. There is only reality. Want tempts manipulation and distortion. There is only reality..here is the only reality..now is the only reality. This is your mantra..do right..do right.
Everything is dirt and dust but the soul within. Everything..worthless, but for the energy invested in it. Worthless but for the life breathed into life by life..by love..pure energy and the All that guides it. This is your mantra: Do right. Do right.
And the wolves will howl all around you with bared fangs and raised hackles. They would growl at your heart 'til it trembles; tear you limb from limb if you flinch. They would make you like they are, ravenous with a desire to consume the blood and love unending. Stand strong and the Truth will be made Manifest. And so your mantra goes: Do right. Do right.

i think... in my opinion... what some people forget is that true karma (if there is indeed such a thing) would not and could not be 'doled' out by an individual, but instead by the universe, in it's own time and ways.
it would seem to me that so-called 'karmic retribution' delivered by an individual, on their own terms and for their reasons, is not karma at all; rather it is simple, petty, revenge.
