the sun sets on another day
and with it go my dreams
doubt and confinement always prey
they have no chance, it seems
but now is due what i am owed;
rightful liberation
come morning i'll be on that road
of emancipation
as i walk away
the sun is at my back
don't wanna turn and see
what i am leavin behind
painful memories
in moments that i lack
past longings pull at me

the past attempts to distract me
fear blocks the rugged path
my heart and mind cannot agree
they face confusions's wrath
the rode is long and darkness reigns
