trumpets blare as he takes the podium, banners unfurl, bright colored fish on a background of various shades of blue and green. the audience, restless with the rumours of a new game, were buzzing wth wonder and excited anticipation. "what is it?!" they yelled. "what do we win?!" (isn't it always about the prizes? what happened to just the thrill of playing, the liebespielen?) he puts a finger to his lips. the crowd hushes. (oh what power.) he slips on his little rectangular guess reading glasses, clears his throat and begins to read. "we at are proud to announce the appearance of a new game. tri rhyming simple, but stimulating. the rules: 1. read the three descriptions 2. guess what they are 3. make sure they rhyme all winners become slimey rhymers." "ewww! yuck." some of the crowd murmured. "slimey? can slimey be a good thing?" |
