i'm not sure why at almost 30 i am still surprised by rudeness and ignorance. i suppose it's because i've always tried to see the best in people, even in the face of heavy empirical proof to the selfish greedy side of human nature. but i digress.... i was in a couple grocery stores near my house today and the sheer ignorance of the people around me was amazing. plenty of people were going through the grocery store with blinders on not giving a shit about cutting off the people around them to make a mad grab for the shit they needed/wanted. maybe it's because there's a packers game tomorrow. maybe it's because it's saturday and the grocery store is naturally more busy. but even after almost 30 years, i couldn't help but be amazed at the ignorant rude behavior of the people around me. |
