Voodoo child im new to this place, but already i love the idea behind it. what gets me a bit down though is how depressed a lot of people seem to be... people with poetic minds who see beauty in so many things should not be always attracted to despair and gloom.

i love the creativity, the randomness, the emotions, the hidden poetry behind what i previously saw as meaningless things in life, all these things are on show on here and its inspiring! so many of you are real verbal artists, be proud of your skills and use them to give meaning to life

people often complain about being lonely (i was one of them)... you have to go out there and put yourselves in situations to meet ppl who you would get along with. like so many poets and creative, lyrical minds here: go to writing clubs! your passion may lead you to other people with similar mindsets and together maybe you'll be happy...

the way i've learnt to look at the world, you pretty recieve as much love, care, and compassion as you give to others. smile at random strangers as you walk through the park/shopping centre/city/etc, most people respond to thoughtfulness, care and happiness by returning the favour.

life is temporary, but beautiful! do not see the fleeting nature of our existence as a depressing flaw in the universe. enjoy the full variety and range of emotions that it has to offer, and never lose perspective of just how much potential it has.

Voodoo child just for a quietly optimistic song, try out:

They never tell you truth is subjective
They only tell you not to lie
They never tell you there's strength in vulnerability
They only tell you not to cry
But I've been living underground
Sleeping on the way
And finding something else to say
Is like walking on the freeway
They never tell you you don't need to be afraid
They only tell you to deny
So is it true that only good girls go to heaven?
They only sell you what you buy
And I've been living underground
Sleeping on the way
And finding something else to say
Is like walking on the freeway
I've been living underground
Trying not to burn
And finding something else to learn
At Hollywood and western
