This phenomenom was first experienced in the American west. Wagon trains were often attacked by indians who snuck up on them while camouflaged in fog. When a dying settler was asked,"Who did this to you?", all he could blurt out with his last gasp was "white cloud". This gave rise to the legend of White Cloud being a great warrior, thus destroying his career as a tap dancer. In our own time, the name "Apache Fog" is best known as Calvin Klien's marketing debacle. They introduced a line of Apache Fog fragrences which became the laughing stock of the industry when it was learned that the Navajos refered to extremely objectionable flatulence as Apache Fog. Calvin Klien's problems grew when kids discovered that if you drank a bottle of Apache Fog after shave that you would "see the great spirit". This led to Apache Fog's new meaning of "I'm really twisted." |
