OK. No. Doesn't matter. Well then...
The daily paper I get reported that this website called beautifulpeople.com banished a whole bunch of members for gaining too much wait over the holidays. I don't really know the purpose of imparting that information, other than to make people (such as me) go on rants about how screwed up things sometimes are.
(A Rant About How Screwed Up Things Sometimes Are:)
First of all, fatter people are just as likely to be good-looking as skinnier people, if you discount weight as an intrinsic part of beauty. Second, the spokesguy says he's promoting health. Hm. Right. And self-confidence too, one can tell. Third, the thing itself is kind of stupid. It's not only a dating site too, but a whole social networking deal. "I'm beautiful! We should be friends!" No objection to good-looking people (I myself am a model... well, people have drawn pictures of me before. Does that count?) but really.
