mainly i'm thinking of the treble, alto/tenor or bass claves, since the percussion clef is rather dull, and the others are obscure. although there is a rather bizarre bass clef used by simrock in the 1880s; for an example, see most printings of Dvorak symphony #8. i like the alto-tenor clef, now that it no longer confounds me. the treble clef is also pretty but it is somewhat silly. the bass clef is handsome, but i wouldn't call it pretty. |
