What are you up to, Pauline Marois? You did well enough with the student protests, even if the smart move was keeping things mostly the same (because more tuition costs would have brought on more anger, but on the other hand, making tuition free all of a sudden would mess stuff up - someone would have to pay for it somehow). So far so good...
When you made French vs. English fusses, no big deal; we anglos complain too much anyway... but now, why this?
Do you really think you'll create a more just and secular society by banning "ostentatious" religious clothing on government employees? ...when by that you mean mainly hijabs? Or maybe turbans or kippas? And of course it's about being secular, which is why Diane de Courcy's opinion article written in defense of the Charter includes the phrase "our Christian holidays."
