loneliness is from within. although there are others around i am still more lonely than i have ever been. i know God is with me, but i have a hard time feeling his presence when i am this lonely.

I forgot my room was a mess.
When I heard them laughing and making their way into the kitchen I wanted to punch them.
My back was sweating from sitting in the same position too long, coffee table askew and bad television blaring.
There are monitors in the hallways, piles of wood by the door, and my broken mirror still not in the trashpile.
When I lay down, I felt like something was attacking my throat.
It is 25 degrees. Yesterday I was sweating through my thinnest shirt, and today the wind blows around my neck so that I have to pull my hood up. The cold bites so that when I pull the gloves off, my hands are red as a washwoman's.
Sometimes I feel so alone that I get afraid I will die.
