people like my poetry because sometimes they understand it. But I think great poetry is harder to understand, the depth surpasses its words...if people aren't willing to decode and work on the poem, they pass it by and the possibility of some meaning is just left. So if people find my poetry so simple...its not as good...Oftentimes the lucidity is mistaken for talent. Its more of a weakness. Everything is misinterpreted. Sometimes its too much to be bothered with for my friends to even think about and they just say 'oh, thats nice" and then sometimes they love it and then. I know it probably belongs with hallmark and the people who live at walmart and find depth in the card aisle. I want a fan of mine to be somebody I am a fan of. I just recently found some. so that makes me happy. but i still stick to what i said above. |
